The Executive Director serves as the chief administrative officer of the State Attorney’s Office and represents the State Attorney on all administrative matters as authorized. He reviews the administrative work of the agency, coordinates the activities and acts as an advisor on matters of policy, procedures and administration. He supervises the activities of a varied support staff of over 60 professionals including fiscal, human resources, information systems, and secretarial support. One of the vital roles of the Executive Director is to oversee the secretarial and litigation support needs of the attorneys. This includes secretarial assignments, training, supervision and conflict resolution.

Administration prepares and administers a budget of over $8 million. In addition to state general revenue dollars this office has been awarded approximately $243,000 in federal grants for child abuse litigation, domestic violence investigations, and victim services. Human Resources handles personnel matters for more than 150 total employees in six offices. Information Systems plays a critical role in designing appropriate case tracking systems and computer networks including supporting staff needs and technology networks that interface with other agencies.
